Experience of Yoga
Show up on the mat and you will begin to show up for your life.
Follow thru with what you say you will do not only for others; but for yourself.
Trust that you know what’s best for you and believe that truth.
Walk the walk and talk the talk. Honor your commitments.
Listen to what is in your heart and honor your values. Listen to your breath and find the right pose for you in the moment.
We are born as imperfect beings. Instead of judgment, embrace the imperfections and learn how to grow from the lessons they can teach us.

YogaGrace is a subsidiary of WabiSabi Wellness, LLC, a company formed in 2009. “WabiSabi”, loosely translated from Japanese, is about “embracing the imperfections of life.” That’s our motto at YogaGrace. Coming to the mat is not about trying to find the “perfect” pose. Coming to the mat is about making the commitment to show up, and find out something about yourself. It’s an opportunity to discover, through careful observation, your own breath, your own thoughts and your own physical limitations. Students learn how to let go of the habits of critical judgment and instead view their imperfections with curiosity and wonder. What can those imperfections teach you?

New to Yoga Class?
Wear something comfortable that allows you to move freely: gym shorts, spandex or sweat pants, and a t-shirt, tank top, sweatshirt or long sleeve t-shirt. No shoes or socks are required.
All you need to bring is a water bottle and an open heart and mind.
You will move, breathe, sweat, and maybe sometimes even cry. You will be challenged mentally, physically and spiritually. Your first few yoga classes may be confusing, perhaps even overwhelming at times, and the learning curve may seem quite arduous. It’s OK. Accept your imperfections. Learn to be comfortable with this feeling of discomfort. With every class you take, things become a bit more familiar and your body and mind will relax into the sessions. When the movements become familiar enough that you don’t have to think, you can begin to connect every movement with a conscious breath. This is yoga.
Just keep coming back to the present moment on the mat. Listen to the cues, listen to your breath and listen to your body.
